Travel planning service OneTwoTrip found out from customers how they would like to spend a three-day weekend on the occasion of Russia Day. It turned out that 45% of tourists had already planned a trip for the holiday weekend. At the same time, 31% of respondents are ready to take additional vacation days, while the rest will have three days. Last year, there were fewer people who wanted to go on a trip — 33%. And the share of those who were ready to take another day off was 23%. The majority (61%) believe that this holiday is better spent traveling around the country, the rest think to stay at home during this time. In 2021, 53% of respondents preferred not to travel anywhere. 60% of Russians are ready to explore their region of residence. Almost the same number, or 59% of tourists, noted that they were going to spend the June long weekend in the city, their number increased by 15% over the year. 35% of travelers answered affirmatively to the question about summer vacations (fans of country houses decreased by 23% over the year). When asked where they would like to go on Russia Day, many answered that the destination was not important for them – the main thing was to go out of town to a beautiful natural area, for example, to a forest, mountains, lake, river or sea. Altai, Baikal, Dombay and Karelia are among such destinations. Among the cities, St. Petersburg, Kaliningrad and Nizhny Novgorod were most often singled out.
