The survivors of the ascent in Kamchatka told about the mistakes of the group

The survivors of the ascent in Kamchatka, they talked about the mistakes of the group Klyuchevskaya Sopka in Kamchatka as part of a group of 12 people.

The group climbed to the top 4800 meters high. It is the highest active volcano in Eurasia. Tourists reached the height of 3300 meters, where the last camp before the summit is located. This is a wooden house of volcanologists, where there is food, water and gas.

There, climbers Anastasia Usacheva and Roman Averin felt bad. Guide Ivan Alabugin stayed with them in the hut, the rest went up with another guide Andrey Mishchenko.

Soon, Mishchenko told his colleague on the radio that an emergency had happened to the climbers, the group fell off the top, and the guide himself broke his leg. Alabugin went up for his comrades. He tried to give them first aid, but it was too late. According to him, 3 people died immediately, the rest – over time.

The last to die was Mishchenko, after which Alabugin went back to the house. According to the guide, the group overestimated their strength and did not take into account the bad weather conditions.
